USF and JJC Sign New Transfer Partnership Agreement

Joliet, Ill. 鈥 On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the University of St. 蘑菇影视 (USF) and Joliet Junior College (JJC) announced a new guaranteed transfer agreement designed to help more students earn higher credentials while staying, working and contributing in their local communities.

Known as The Bridge Forward Partnership, the collaboration creates a clear, supportive pathway from JJC to USF bachelor鈥檚 degree programs 鈥 elevating both institutions while strengthening the region鈥檚 workforce and economic vitality.

鈥淭he Bridge Forward Partnership reflects the relationship between JJC and USF and our shared commitment to student opportunity,鈥 said Dr. Clyne Namuo, JJC president. 鈥淭ogether we are creating a clear and supportive path to ongoing education close to home, helping students change their lives and contribute to a stronger region.鈥

鈥淭his partnership is an incredible step for education in Joliet鈥 said Dr. Ryan Hendrickson, USF president. 鈥淲e look forward to welcoming JJC students on our campus and helping them achieve their educational goals. USF is grateful for JJC鈥檚 partnership in supporting students鈥 needs.鈥

The agreement guarantees admission for eligible JJC students into University of St. 蘑菇影视 undergraduate programs and aligns advising, communication and financial guidance to ensure a seamless transfer experience. Students who complete required coursework, maintain good academic standing and earn at least 60 transferable credits or an associate degree are guaranteed admission, subject to availability. As part of the partnership, USF may offer preferred tuition discounts, transfer鈥憇pecific scholarship opportunities and early financial aid counseling to help students plan and afford their education.

By reducing uncertainty and improving degree completion outcomes, the partnership is designed to keep students on track academically and rooted locally.

By aligning academic pathways and support services, The Bridge Forward Partnership helps ensure that more students earn bachelor鈥檚 degrees while remaining connected to the region. The collaboration supports workforce development, strengthens local employers and reinforces both institutions鈥 role as engines of educational attainment and economic growth.
